Summer Position
Nesting Bird Survey Technician
The Greater Moncton Pest Control Commission (GMPCC) is seeking offers from
qualified candidates to assist with their annual nesting bird survey.
The objective of the study is to identify, locate and monitor the nesting success of breeding birds within the marshes of the Greater Moncton area.
Qualifications
required:
Student who is enrolled in a Biology program and who has completed courses
in Vertebrate Biology, Ornithology, and Ecology. The ideal candidate would
also have experience in bird surveys. However, candidates who do not have
a formal training in biology, but who possess a significant experience in
bird observations may also apply.
Work
Period:
The student would be required to be available for work from April to August
15. Salary will reflect the experience of the candidate.
The successful candidate may also be required to perform other duties which are associated with the GMPCC mosquito control program.
